MY FAVORITE CITY ( by Tatamo Guxens )

My favorite city’s Amsterdam. Amsterdam fans out south from the Amsterdam Central railway station. The Damrak is the main street and leads into the street Rokin. It is a city that also has a culture very different style of architecture of buildings and streets of Catalonia. And I like that because there are many mysteries. The oldest area of the town is known as de Wallen (the quays). It lies to the east of Damrak and contains the city's famous red light district. To the south of de Wallen is the old Jewish quarter of Waterlooplein. Famous for the huge number of bicycles and isthe world center of bicycle culture. The 17th century canals of Amsterdam, known as the Grachtengordel, embraces the heart of the city where homes have interesting gables. Beyond the Grachtengordel are the former working class areas of Jordaan and de Pijp. The Museumplein with the city's major museums, the Vondelpark, a 19th century park named after the Dutch writer Joost van den Vondel, and the Plantage neighbourhood, with the zoo, are also located outside the Grachtengordel.
Several parts of the city and the surrounding urban area are polders. This can be recognized by the suffix -meer which means lake.
THE FLAG AND THE COAT OF ARMS

In Amsterdam there are many internationally renowned museums such as the Rijksmuseum, the Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art Museum andthe Museum het Rembrandthuis or 'MuseumRembrandt House'which was the home and studioof Rembrandt, and displays an interesting collection etchings of authorship, the van GoghMuseum, which has the largest collection of paintings by Van Gogh in the world, the MadameTussaud Wax Museum or the Museum of Cinema, also known as Filmmuseum.
Also the Anne Frank House. We went to visit many of these sites.  It’s a beautiful city!
